Research and Development is the key component for the effective promotion and development of scientific activities across Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University and serves as the research community in various ways. In specific, CFR directs the University’s research mandates within the institution, governs the support service to framework for research related initiates and oversees the outreach activities to general public for societal benefit.
The University’s CFR portfolio emphasizes in particular the cultivation, development and support of interdisciplinary research activities and innovative initiatives.
As a budding University, within a short span of time, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University has attracted some of the scientifically profound professors, researchers, academicians and in particular the young enthusiastic minds. With their support, the University is dedicated to the transformative research excellence keeping the concept of research outcomes for needy public. The strategic plan to promote research activities is to nurture the creative thinking, promote innovative ideas, problem solving by critical thinking in collaboration with partner institutions and technology delivery to the society through the interdisciplinary research areas.
Basic, applied, and interdisciplinary research themes of the University will be applied as a roadmap to achieve the strategic research excellence. CFR is also intent to reinforce the novel links and collaborations with industries and academic institutions to address the regional, national, and global scientific problems.

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University research profile consists of the research focus areas of the faculties of different disciplines such as Medicine, Engineering & Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Management, Arts, Science and Humanities, and interdisciplinary research. Syllabus for core research papers, Research Methodology, Research Writing, Research and Publication Ethics should be followed as per DSU norms. Course name with code including common papers available to register are attached below for your kind perusal. For all other courses, the Research supervisor shall take full responsibility to frame the syllabus with credit hours and shall discuss in front of the doctoral committee for approval.Course-work papers must be decided (Course work registration) and approved by the Doctoral committee (1st DC meeting) based on the area of research of the research scholar.
Candidates registered for Ph.D. programs should complete a minimum of 4 courses within 18 months from the date of registration. At least 12 credits are the minimum requirement for the Ph.D. Program.

The IPR Cell of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University aims to evolve into a centre of excellence in the Southern Region of India in fields related to IPR Education, innovation management integrated with IPR within an educational Framework, protection of traditional knowledge and practices for socio-economic development, and contributing to the development and implementation of IPR Policy in the regional and national context.
Objectives of intellectual property refer to the purposes of protection granted to innovators of novel intellectual creations. Intellectual property (IP) rights serve the important purpose of ensuring that innovators will be recognized for their efforts and protected from infringement.
