The Iftar Breaking Ceremony and Social Harmony Ceremony was held on March 13, 2025 at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Perambalur. The function was presided over by the Honorable Chancellor of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Shri A. Srinivasan Ayya. He said: Assalamu Alaikum to all the distinguished guests, esteemed teachers, dear students and friends who have attended this function. Today, in our university, we have come together to celebrate the Iftar Breaking Ceremony with a sense of unity, love, affection and high understanding, transcending the boundaries of faith and religion. Do not think that the Iftar Breaking Ceremony is a religious event; It is a festival that celebrates humanity, unity, and connecting us all together as a community.
The 7th Day of March 2025 was remarkable in DSU, Perambalur celebrated International Womens Day. His Excellency A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor, DSU, presided over the celebrations. He congratulated and appreciated the role played by every woman on the planet. He expected the female sector to be proud of being born as a woman.
The Guest of Honour for the day, Tmt. Grace Pachuau, District Collector of Perambalur, addressed the enthusiastic gathering with an inspiring speech on the significance of education.
Followed by this the Chief Guest of the day Kavignar. M. Sudarvizhi, Senior Social Security Assistant, EPFO Regional Office, Coimbatore, delivered an inspiring speech on resilience and the passion for nurturing future generations.

From February 13th to 15th, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU) held its highly anticipated every year cultural festival, Nakshatra 2025, in Perambalur. The event was hosted by the esteemed Shri A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor of DSU.
Day 1: A Grand Opening with Keerthi Shetty The festivities got off to a great start when famed actress Keerthi Shetty arrived as the guest of honour, electrifying the atmosphere and encouraging students to follow their passions with tenacity and dedication. The day included a range of cultural performances, including dance, music, and drama, showcasing the extraordinary talent of DSU students.
Day 2: Musical Extravaganza with Pooja Venkat, Sam Vishal and Asal Kolaaru The second day of Nakshatra 2025 saw the popular singers take the stage as the special guest. His energetic performance had the audience on their feet, singing and dancing along to his hit songs. The day also included several competitions, such as solo singing, group dance, and instrumental music, allowing students to display their artistic skills and creativity.
Day 3: Star-Studded Finale with Vijay Sethupathi and Mamitha Baiuju The grand finale of Nakshatra 2025 was nothing short of spectacular, with the presence of acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi and talented actress Mamitha Baiuju. Their engaging interactions with the students and heartfelt speeches left a lasting impression on everyone present. The final day also featured a fashion show, a talent hunt, and a prize distribution ceremony, where the winners of various competitions were honored.
Nakshatra 2025 was a resounding success, bringing together students, faculty, and guests in a celebration of culture, talent, and unity. The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their abilities but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among all participants. A Voter Registration Camp was successfully conducted at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University on November 22, 2024. The event took place in the central auditorium and witnessed enthusiastic participation from first-year students. The camp was inaugurated by the District Collector of Perambalur, Ms. Grace Lalrindiki Pachuau, as the chief guest. Around 1,000 students actively participated in the camp.
On October 28, 2024, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU), Perambalur, hosted a grand Freshers' Day celebration at its University Auditorium. This special event, which took place at 10:30 AM, was organized to warmly welcome new students from various schools under DSU, including the School of Engineering and Technology, Institute of Pharmacy, School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Physiotherapy, and School of Agricultural Sciences. The celebration combined three significant components: the Freshers' Day welcome, the inauguration of Student Clubs, and the release of the University Newsletter.

The main clauses and areas of cooperation outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia, and Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU), India, on September 18, 2024. DSU Perambalur organized Anti- Ragging Awareness and Induction Programme on 19, August 2024. His Excellency A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor, DSU, presided over the program. The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at the DSU on 15, August 2024 which was presided over by His Excellency A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor, DSU. The event was a grand celebration with the prestigious presence of Honourable Future Chancellor. The stage was adorned by the esteemed Secretary and the heads of all the institutions of DS Group of institutions. Honourable Chancellor presented mementos and awarded the achievers.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T EduTech) and Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU) on 31st July 2024 at chancellor office to enhance the educational offerings and employability of DSU students through the "L&T College Connect" program
In commemoration of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, DSU, Perambalur, in collaboration with the Institute of Aeronautics Astronautics and Aviation (IAAA), hosted the Kalam Space Challenge 2024 on July 27, 2024. The DSU proudly celebrated the Iftar and Social Harmony Festival. The celebrations were presided over by His Excellency A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor, DSU. He highlighted the significance and the prerequisite for Social Harmony at present. Delegates from Islam, Christian, and Hindu religions were esteemed guests who adorned the stage. All the religious leaders observed that the society should not be a prey for the indifferences maintained in the name of religions. They appreciated and praised the efforts of the DSU in organizing such a remarkable event every year. The celebrations culminated with a grand banquette arranged by the DSU for more than five thousand people who participated in the celebrations.
On July 12, 2024, at 5:30 PM, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Perambalur, and Kalvi Career Education Private Limited. The ceremony took place at the Chancellor's Office, symbolizing a significant partnership aimed at enhancing the educational offerings of the university through the provision of specialized certification courses by Kalvi Career Education Private Limited.
Doctor's Day is celebrated to honor the contributions of physicians to society and to recognize their dedication to health and well-being.His Excellency A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor, DSU, presided over the celebrations and delivered his presidential address. He observed that the day serves as an opportunity to appreciate the hard work and sacrifices of doctors, promote awareness of healthcare issues, and encourage the community to support health initiatives. He also added that it often includes activities like health camps, seminars, and expressions of gratitude from patients and families. All the doctors and the other associates with them were invited by the DSU-Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospitals and were honored. The Dean and the Medical Superintendent acknowledged the honor in the name of the entire team and encouraged the young doctors to be dedicated and ever-ready to serve society.
It was a great opportunity for the students of DSU, Perambalur to attend an awareness programme on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26, June 2024. His Excellency A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor, DSU, presided over the programme The Secretary, DSU Group of Institutions, graced the occasion. The District Superintendent of Police, Perambalur Mrs. Shyamala Devi IPS and the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Perambalur decorated the chairs as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.They insisted the students be aware of the legal procedures and the impacts of drug abuse and illicit trafficking. They explained the state and conditions of the youngsters and their future when they are involved in such antisocial elements.
The DSU, Perambalur made a mark on 21, June 2024 in observing the 10th International Day of Yoga. His Excellency A. Srinivasan Ayya, Honourable Chancellor, DSU, presided over the day and performed yoga asanas along with the other students. It was a great event of knowledge as the students who practice yoga regularly exhibited a gallery on Yoga and its developments. Also, they showed a demo of all kinds of yoga asanas that vibed a great deal.
The inauguration of the Apple Lab in the School of Engineering and Technology(SET), at DSU on 13, May 2024 was a remarkable event in the chronicles of the university. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide students and faculty with the latest in Apple technology, fostering innovation and enhancing learning experiences. His Excellency Shri. A. Srinivasan Ayya, Chancellor, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University presided over the function. Cutting the ribbon of the Apple Lab he insisted the students to grab the opportunities and make use of them for their career advancement.
13th May 2024 will be etched in DSU’s history as the day the Drone Innovation Lab was unveiled by His Excellency A. Srinivasan, Chancellor, DSU. This remarkable day facilitates the faculty and the students to enhance practical learning and foster innovation in the field of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) This lab has been set up with the alliance of DautyaAerospace Private Limited, Bengaluru, India that facilitated with an expert present in the lab on all working days of the year which makes one of the reasons for the DSU to be graded as the Centre of Excellence.
Holi is a vibrant festival celebrated primarily in India and Nepal, marking the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. It is a "Festival of Colors," that marks the joyful celebrations.

On 19.02.2024, a significant milestone was achieved as Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University ,Perambalur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dongguk University, South Korea, aiming to establish a mutually beneficial partnership. Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Perambalur organized in the First FIT INDIA-2023 Program. Our Honorable Prime Minister with a view to make fitness an integral part of our daily lives. The mission of the Movement is to bring about behavioral changes and move towards a more physically active lifestyle. Our university raises awareness about a healthy lifestyle among students. A program will be conducted on December 15th, 2023, in the university grounds.
