The visit provided students with practical insights into pharmaceutical laboratory operations, analytical instruments, testing procedures, quality control and laboratory safety practices. Interaction with industry professionals helped students connect their classroom knowledge with real-world pharmaceutical applications and gain a better understanding of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.
Thanthai Roever College of Pharmacy, Perambalur, organized a National Level Seminar on “The Role of AI in Target Optimization and Lead Optimization” on 11 July 2026. The seminar provided students and faculty members with valuable insights into the applications of Artificial Intelligence in drug discovery, target optimization and lead optimization, along with opportunities for research and poster presentations.

The Institute of Pharmacy, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, celebrated World Pharmacists Day on 25th September 2025 with the PCI-declared theme Think Health, Think Pharmacists. The program highlighted the vital role of pharmacists in patient counselling, chronic disease management, vaccination promotion, and rational drug use. Students and faculty actively participated through awareness programs, seminars, and interactive activities, emphasizing the importance of pharmacists in safeguarding public health.
The Institute of Pharmacy, DSU, observed the National Pharmacovigilance Week on 22nd & 23rd September 2025 with the theme Think Safety, Just a Click Away: Report to PVPI. The event aimed at sensitizing students and the public on the importance of reporting adverse drug reactions and ensuring patient safety. Various student-led presentations, awareness sessions, and interactive programs were organized, reinforcing the role of pharmacovigilance in strengthening healthcare outcomes.
This year's theme,"Pharmacy: Pathway to a Healthy India"emphasized the vital role pharmacists play in shaping the future of healthcare. The celebration highlighted the importance of the pharmacy profession in ensuring access to quality medicines, improving patient care, and advancing the health and well-being of communities.
Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU), Perambalur, celebrated the 63rd National Pharmacy Week from December 16 to 20, 2024, with a series of engaging events and activities aimed at recognizing the invaluable contributions of pharmacists in healthcare. The celebration, presided over by Shri A. Srinivasan Ayya, the Chancellor of DSU, brought together students, faculty, and industry experts to commemorate the theme "Pharmacy: Pathway to a Healthy India".
